If you’ve always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, discover new adventures or simply see the wondrous world beneath the waves, this is where it starts.
Our PADI Open Water Diver course to the Great Barrier Reef is our most popular Open Water Course. This course has been designed to fit in with everyone's busy schedules so you can complete it quickly or at your own pace.
Step 1: You will complete the theory component of the course in the comfort of your own home via PADI’s online eLearning program.
Step 2: You spend 1 day with your instructor practicing basic scuba skills in a training pool.
Step 3: You will venture out on 2 separate day trips on board our day vessel to the Great Barrier Reef or followed by 2 day 2 nights or 3 days 3 nights diving the pristine waters of the outer Great Barrier Reef and the world famous S.S. Yongala Wreck (weather permitting/ 3 day 3 night trips only) on our Liveaboard. Over the following 2 days you will complete 4 Open Water dives and put all of your training into action whilst being surrounded by vibrant corals and thousands of tropical fish!
Step 4: Complete your registration and you are a certified Open Water Diver, qualified to dive to a maximum of 18m with a certification recognised all over the world!
Please note that the price of $360 only includes e-learning materials, confined pool session with instruction, and registration plus certification fees. Course participants will have to pay for their day trips/ liveaboard separately.
Min 2 participants. (course/ numbers will be confirmed 48 hours prior to commencement)
This is a full flexible course to suit your schedule. After you have made your booking you can choose your pool session date then book 2 trips to the Great Barrier Reef, which are scheduled on Tuesday's, Thursday's, Friday's, Sunday's and Monday's in high season (June - October) or jump on a 2 Day 2 Night or 3 Day 3 Night Liveaboard scheduled fortnightly leaving on Friday evening.
